Welcome. You have found your way to the part of my site where I share the self-help books I have written. These books are not about quick fixes or impossible promises. They are about steady, practical steps that can help you make life a little easier, a little calmer, and a little more fulfilling.

Over the years I have learned that real change does not arrive overnight. (If only it did) It comes from small habits, repeated often, and supported by encouragement and understanding. That is the spirit in which I write. My aim is to pass on methods that work, explained in plain language, so that you can put them to use in your own life straight away. Think of me as a friendly guide, or perhaps an uncle who has walked the path before and wants to save you a few wrong turns. Oh, that sounds so pompous, I am just trying to use the experiences of my mistakes so that you can avoid them.

Each book focuses on a particular area of life where many of us struggle. Some tackle productivity and focus, helping you to cut through distraction and get things done. Others look at sleep, because a good night’s rest is the foundation on which everything else is built. (For many years sleep was problematic for me). I also write about habits, motivation, and ways of organising your day so that you feel more in control rather than overwhelmed.

These books are designed to be practical. You will find exercises, checklists, and routines you can test for yourself. I hope that I have written in a supportive style, because I know from experience that self-improvement can feel daunting if the advice is too stern or unrealistic.
